Rick Chyme is a Wordsmith from Grand Rapids, Michigan.
He has shared his songs with people from New York to Thailand and from the Electric Forest Music Festival to Grandma Bothee’s Basement.
Rick creates Hip Hop music that has been known to motivate and inspire listeners. Rick is a four time WYCE Jammie Award winner and has graced stages and studios with legendary beings such as The Accidentals, One Be Lo, Ras Kass, Willie The Kid, The Appleseed Collective, Red Pill, The Crane Wives and Vox Vidorra.
Rick Chyme has the most glorious beard in music history. He once performed an improvised freestyle rap clocking in at over 17 hours and 33 minutes as an entry into the world renowned contest ArtPrize.
Chyme also works in schools using music as a vehicle to promote positivity and the pursuit of passion.
In the world of cinema, Rick has collaborated with buzzing American film renegades, Joel Potrykus (Ape, Buzzard) & Joshua Burge (Ape, Buzzard, Revenant) respectively to create two music driven visuals. He also provided Music Supervision for the JAY-Z film, “Fade To Black”.
Soon Chyme will release several musical projects including Bald Since Birth, The Composition Book: Jennifer’s Story, and StripTape.
