New Holland Goggles Video Directed by Joel Potrykus and Buzzard Banter

Behold our newest music video. It’s directed by a highly skilled, fellow Michigan Native, Joel Potrykus. Joel and his team release films via their company Sob Noisse. The song is produced by Nixon and mastered by Sir Manley. I’m writing this traveling from Cleveland, Ohio to Austin, Texas and The SXSW Film & Music Festival. The Sob Noisse Family debuted their film, Buzzard, today at SXSW. Thus far the film has been receiving nothing but praise from critics. The debut occurred on five screens in Austin tonight. The film stars...

ArtPrize Marathon Freestyle Montage | John Boros Productions

Posted by on 12:55 pm in blog, Video | 0 comments

I apologize for the lack of updates on the site this week, things are moving fast and I’ve been had marathon days of freestyle, silence, and blindness. Here is a montage created by John Boros Productions from last Saturday, great interaction with so many humans. If you’re in GR and voting for ArtPrize, please give me a vote, #55311. I’m doing my best to remember all of these amazing moments we’ve been experiencing this week, expect a write up or video soon. Your support has been overwhelming....

Drawbridges | Rick Chyme feat. Ryan K. Wilson | prod. Ryan K. Wilson & Venson Dix

I’m sitting here with John Boros who produced this fine visual you are about to watch. We decided to release it only minutes ago. It was filmed in the final hours (3:00am) of a week long mansion stay. It was during this same stay that I wrote and recorded “Politricks & Bullhits: SVU” from The 5iveit LP along with several other songs we’ve yet to release. “Drawbridges” began in my old apartment when Venson Dix played me a sample he’d pulled…. Venson gave me the okay to write to it and I sat...

Crossing The Pond | 5iveit

A few years ago… I decided to stop talking about how much I wanted to walk across the pond at my friend Shannon’s house and actually do it. I was living on the property at the time and this pond was taunting me daily.  Now, the moment that will likely complete many of your lives….. The Crossing Of The Pond.  Filmed by Michael Sullivan on a shoddy JVC Camcorder. Enjoy.  ...

Chali 2na | Rick Chyme | Chicago

A trip to Chicago’s, Bottom Lounge, to perform with Four Finger Five and Chali 2na backed by The House Of Vibe, led to this moment after the show. Portions of this audio can be heard on the first song from The 5iveit LP. The following night we found ourselves in the same place once again, to check out what ensued go to The Horn. 5iveit. #17hourfreestyle #artprize #rickchyme...

| 1000 Miles From No Where | Dir. Justin Meredith |

This video was recorded in NYC in the heart of Times Square in pure renegade fashion. Justin Meredith crafted the visual from top to bottom. The song, 1000 Miles From No Where, was recorded in Traverse City, Michigan at The Manor North in the living room. Nixon produced the song. Jason Kott played bass. Bret Karis pulled the...

Live at River City Studios – Number 13 – Rick Chyme and Ryan K Wilson

Near one year ago, Ryan K. Wilson and I entered River City Studios on a Saturday morning for a “Live At River City” recording session. At the time we had been performing house concerts featuring stripped down versions of both new and older material, so we decided to stick with a format similar to those shows for these recordings. Early that morning we chose the songs we’d attempt later that day and while both under the weather, we efficiently recorded each selection. After our performance we broke for a meal, followed by an interview that you...
